Smoked Salmon & Goat Cheese Sandwiches

Smoked salmon and goat cheese better be dating because they work so well together. The creamy tartness of the goat cheese is a great compliment to the smoky, salty-ness of the salmon. I first tried this sandwich at the wonderful Cowgirl Creamery cheese shop in DC. They make two random types of sandwiches a day, one veggie and one meatie. Their sandwiches are pretty much the best I have ever had. Our imitation version was good, but no where near as good as theirs. We of course have made breakfast bagel sandwiches using cream cheese, but this makes for a great lunch.

  1. There must be something happening in the universe – yours is the 4th smoked salmon post I’ve seen in about 10 minutes. I adore smoked salmon with capers and throw in some red onion and you have nirvana. Breakfast, lunch or supper – it’s a total winner.
