I haven’t been posting much from the Post lately… not because I am lazy (no really!), but because I haven’t been seeing much more than one or two interesting articles in the Food & Dinning section.
- It is the peak of the DC tomato season and here are ten tomato tips… and tomato recipes.
- There is a shrt piece on the Filipino market around the corner from me. I have only been there once, but they have all of the standard Asain cooking staples along with Filipino specific iingedients/
- New! Silicone pot lids… the interesting part is that they form an airtight seal. Sounds like they could turn an ordinary pot in a great brasier.
- Now is the best time to get a bushel of crabs and Tom gives us the lowdown on where to get them.
- Chicago has imposed a citywide ban on Foie Gras and the Post has coverage of it. They also have the details on an dinner featuring foods that have at one time been illegal.
- It looks like Simply Recipes has caught my Mango fever and has two great articles. The first is a recipe for Mango Salsa and the other is on how to cut a Mango.
- Pasta Puttanesca seems easy enough not to require a recipe, but Cooking with Amy has one and it looks great!
