This is my second ice cube post this week–can you tell it has been hot in Washington, DC? All comments on the weather aside, isn’t this ice cube tray awesome? I got it at the Lego store in the mall and it makes little Lego brick ice cubes. Since it is only the top of the block, not the bottom, the ice cubes don’t interlock. Whatever, they are still awesome!
I was trying to think of a cool Lego related cocktail to make with these cubes. All I could come up with is the Boilermaker since it is sort of engineering related. Does anyone have any better suggestions?
Harvey Wall Banger – BTW: You should freeze fruit juices in the tray to make colored legos!
Thats an awesome idea!! It would be fun to use cranberry juice and then pour in some vodka and soda.
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that we are using your photo of this awesome idea on our publication’s website: saucemagazine.com/daily. It will be showcased on our “Daily Sauce” section. Feel free to take a look! Thanks!
Cool! I will check it out.
Thanks Angela!
Those are some great suggestions. The “Brickhouse”? I am not sure what would be in it, but it sounds fun.
Wow I just came across this post while searching for ice cube molds! Those are beautiful!
(I’ve been a big fan of your other work but somehow I missed this)
As for cocktail names:
“We Built this City” Metropolitans
Motar and Pestle mint julups
Pretty much any cocktail and just add something bricky to it in advanced. ;)
Oh I so want this. How cool is that?
And nope … can’t think of any drinks to serve them in, but they are darn cool!
