This stew was the best EVER! Next time, I will nix the peas and possibly sub green beans. I would consider cutting the thyme in half as well.

This was really an excellent beef stew - best one I've made so far. I'm making it again tonight. I love that it's so simple and doesn't take forever to cook, either. It was a hit all around the first time I made it.

Good to hear! I may have cut my potatoes smaller which would have made them cook quicker. It can definitely stand to be doubled you just have to brown the beef in more batches.

Was awesome! But... I would cook the potatoes the first hour also b/c mine were not done for another hour after the recommended time. Could have stood a double batch though, need a bigger pan.

Great to hear! The peas add some color, but you can easily skip them.

This was fantastic! Thanks so much. It was my first chance to use the Le Creuset dutch oven we got at our wedding, and it did a lovely job. Excellent instructions for a novice like myself.

Ten star beef stew! Thanks for posting this recipe. It really is a 10, and even better the second day. Recommend!
